Hockey Philosophy

Hockey should be FUN!!!

It is possible to work hard and have fun at the same time.  Most players feel a real sense of accomplishment after the most rigorous of workouts.

I teach the fundamentals of hockey.  Skating, Puck handling, Passing, Shooting, and Checking.  All players need to have a solid base of these skills if they want to progress their game to the next level.

A good attitude will carry a player a lot further than skill alone.  I’ve seen a lot of skilled players waste good careers because they weren’t willing to put in the effort.  On the flip side, I’ve also seen many lesser skilled players have great careers because they wanted it badly and never gave up on their dreams.

Today, I am still a huge fan of the game and can’t wait to get to the rink.  It’s been a passion of mine since I was a little boy.  I want to give back to the game that gave me so much and hopefully pass on a love of hockey to the next generation.
