DESCRIPTION: This camp is focused on individual skills of Skating, Shooting, Passing, Puck Control, and Checking. Each day is 1:30 On-Ice followed by 1:00 Off-Ice (dryland training). On ice we start each day with 30 min of power skating skills and techniques before breaking into small groups that address all 5 skill sets that change each day. Although young players can be competitive with each other this is essentially you vs. you. The goal of this camp is to sharpen those individual skills prior to the hockey season.
After each On Ice session players will have about 20-30 min to change into dryland gear (shorts, t-shirts, running shoes, water bottle, etc) before they head outside to do dryland training that are age appropriate and may include things like push ups, sit ups, shuttle run (or beep test) and many more challenging and fun activities. Our dryland coach Dave Pusch has been with us for years and the kids love him. He’s tough but fun.
